Cajun Chicken Pasta

Ingredients:
- For the Chicken:
450g boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon SuperSpice Cajun Blend
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
- For the Pasta:
300g penne or fettuccine pasta
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 green bell pepper, sliced
1 small onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Chicken:
- In a bowl, toss the chicken strips with olive oil, SuperSpice Cajun Blend, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and black pepper.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the seasoned chicken for 4-5 minutes per side, until fully cooked and golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.
2. Cook the Pasta:
- Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
3. Make the Sauce:
- In the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon olive oil and sauté the bell peppers, onion and garlic until soft, about 5 minutes.
- Add the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and crushed red pepper flakes if using. Allow the sauce to thicken slightly, about 2-3 minutes.
4. Combine Everything:
- Add the cooked chicken and pasta to the skillet with the sauce. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
5. Garnish and Serve:
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Our Tips:
- For an extra creamy texture, add a splash of chicken stock or more cream if needed.
- If you like a spicier pasta, increase the amount of SuperSpice Cajun Blend, or add some Cayenne SuperSpice.
